Simple Early 1920's Updo

Follow
TheLongHairedFlapper

Due to the humidity messing with my curls, I decided to do a relaxed updo, inspired by styles from the early 1920s. This is the kind of style that works well with a pile of messy curls. You can certainly be more careful than I was and make a more "styled" do, if you prefer. A more structured look can be achieved if you are careful to twist the two sections in the same direction, then twist them together in the opposite direction (this adds definition to the twist). I just randomly twisted mine to get loops of hair going whichever way they pleased, as I prefer more relaxed styles during the summer months!
