This is a DIY method for waterproofing and uses 100% silicone caulk and mineral spirits as the main ingredients. Overall, it is a better way to waterproof most materials than the store bought aerosol silicone waterproofing. It works great for projects ranging from waterproofing a shoe or apron all the way to waterproofing a tent. Another great application of this project is waterproofing a backpack or any other bag. Before applying, test it on a small inconspicuous area to ensure that it works well with our material and does not damage it. Another warning, waterproofing does create fumes so be careful.
