My poor baby got a terrible ear infection just 3 weeks after we brought him home. You can see his head tilt while he is eating here. He was put on different meds from the animal hospital. After 2 weeks of those not working and he still had a head tilt, we took him to an animal ear specialist. He was put on prednisone, 2.5 months later I took him to our vet because his belly started to get swollen. His ear infection had been cleared away but I was told he had FIP disease the entire time, and the prednisone was just masking it. It wasn't until he was slowly being weaned off the prednisone the disease started to show. Prednisone is often used for cats with liver problems also, so while it was healing his ear, it was helping his liver for a short amount of time. My little innocent angel had FIP, a fatal disease some kittens get and sometimes cats also. I miss him so much.... I feel a part of me is missing.... rest in peace my beautiful, loving, sweet Sherbert, I will love you forever!!!!!! 8/28/12 4/10/13.
