Former American High School teacher Erin Gruwell was told by the school she taught at that her class of underprivileged and underperforming kids would never read a book from cover to cover because “they were too stupid”. However, her unique teaching method inspired the 150 students that came through her classroom to rethink the limiting beliefs they had about themselves and others, reconsider the decisions they made and ultimately changed the course of their lives forever.
