We return to our cabin for our most prized possessions, Pepper and the chickens. With the whole gang at the new place, the move is complete. We find good temporary storage for all our canned food and get to work unwinterizing our new home just in time to celebrate with a homemade pie.

~ Coconut Squash Pie Ingredients ~

Crust
2.5 cups all purpose flour
6 tbs lard (can sub butter)
2 tbs unsalted butter
1/2 tsp kosher salt

Filling
6 cups winter squash and/or pumpkin puree
6 large eggs
1.5 cups brown sugar
14 ounce can of coconut milk
1/2 cup half and half (or heavy cream)
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ground cloves
4 tbs cornstarch
