When our Field Officer Becky Bedson attended a site after a concerned member of the public phoned our Welfare Line, she found a very large group of horses near the M25 in need of help as the owners were unable to cope.

Becky and fellow Field Officer Chris Shaw worked hard to gain the owners’ cooperation and in due course a multiagency operation took place to remove the horses and other animals found on the property to safety. 11 horses came into the care of our Glenda Spooner Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre and another 21 to our Hall Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre. The vast majority of these horses were completely unhandled and very nervous, with numerous health problems.
