To level the playing field and give the Turkeys a fair chance, I decided to take my final Turkey with my bow. My first try involved a giant head remover broadhead, but one of the big blades caught on the blind and my arrow fell harmlessly to the ground. I switched to regular broadheads due to difficulty with accuracy and windplaning, and was able to stock my freezer with my favorite meat! I think ol’ Ben Franklin had the right idea about the Wild Turkey being our National bird, instead of the carrion eating, fish stealing, Bald Eagle.
