May is a very busy and exciting month in the allotment garden with many jobs to be done and lots of veggies and flowers to be sowing. Spring is well underway now and the garden is starting to look much greener with the first few things coming into harvest too!

It's getting a little late to sow some things though, and May is your last chance to get them sown if you want to achieve a harvest before the end of the growing season. There are other things which are ideal for succession sowing so you can achieve steady harvests throughout the growing season.
