First a cherished toy that's been delighting generations of children for over 80 years. Owner Brian Adams is hoping bike restorer Tim Gunn can work his magic on a rusty peddle scooter that he inherited from his father. Used by Brian's father in the 1930's, the scooter was his prized possession and he even held on to it when his family were evacuated during the war. The scooter was then passed down to Brian and his sister, who recall spending many happy hours zooming around on the twowheeled wonder. Sadly, the scooter had sat unused in the shed for many years, but now Brian's granddaughter Freya has her eye on it, he needs the teams help to bring it back to its former glory. Next into the barn is Dee Rance, she's hoping Silversmith Brenton West can restore a precious keepsake with a theatrical past: An original engraved powder compact. This unusual item was gifted to Dee's Aunt Lucy, a performer, by the legendary comedy impresario Fred Karno. Known as the father of slapstick, his most notable protégés include Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Stan Laurel. Unfortunately the delicate box is dull, knocked and dented, and the mirror inside is cracked beyond repair. Brenton sets to work to transform this tarnished treasure and restore some star quality. Finally, a whimsical vintage bottle stopper, whose smiling face and red nose has fascinated owner Martin Day, ever since he was a child. No job is too small for woodwork heavyweight Will Kirk, who rejuvenates this cheeky chappy so he can be displayed in the drinks cabinet once more.
