Save $$$ by Changing your own Skoolie Tires!

Follow
Bussy McBusface

After Mike paid to have our first three Skoolie tires changed, he decided he could do this himself! A huge shoutout goes to Clayt, who was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, for helping us learn how to get this job done! After putting one tire on, Mike watched some more videos and added a few safety procedures to his process. We actually put 3 tires on altogether, (though only 2 of them are shown in this video), so we have all 6 new shoes on "Bussy McBusfeet" now!. More importantly, Mike has the knowledge, skills, and confidence to change/patch a tire anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances. Superduper cool!

About Us:

Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We're building a TinyHomeinaBus for fulltime living in the most adventurefriendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!

Mike & Kerry
