Samurai Deeper Kyo (サムライ ディーパー キョウ) is a semitraditional 2D airdasher released for the PSX in 2002 by Bandai and developed by PicPac Airreal. The game is based on the manga series written by Akimine Kamijyo of the same name. Samurai Deeper Kyo takes place in the sengoku period, and follows the story of Demon Eyes Kyo as he seeks to regain his body after his soul was sealed inside the body of his rival, Mibu Kyoshiro. Kyo is joined in his search by the bountyhunter Shiina Yuya, the heir to the Tokugawa shogunate Benitora, and Sanada Yukimura, a known rival of the Tokugawa.
