Snatched from his mom at a young age, kept in a small wooden box, trafficked, sold, abused, treated with violence – all this to boost a man’s tiktok page!

A few days in the care of our team and you can actually see the difference in his features and the relaxation in his eyes. He will remain in quarantine under our care until he gets to the sanctuary in South Africa.

This baby lion cub was rescued on 8 March 2024 after videos of him being abused where shared on a TikTok page. The man then claimed he lost the lion cub causing panic in the area and he was later found by people who treated him terribly. Our team immediately drove to the area to pick him up from the police station where he was handed.

He has been under Animals Lebanon care since then and with advice from wildlife experts has been properly cared for providing food, nutrients, and enrichment.

– all his paperwork have been completed and now awaiting his travel preparation to be finalized so he can go to the Drakenstein sanctuary in South Africa where he can live the life he deserves.

He still help to get him to his new home at the sanctuary.
