This boss kept calling and bothering this person when one of his family members was dying in the hospital. This is one of the worst stories I have had to date. The lack of boundaries or basic humanity this boss showed when dealing with such awful circumstances was just unforgivable. Family should always take priority over work, and if a company doesn’t get that then they aren’t worth working for.

Personal life will always impact professionals, and as a business you have a choice to either stand by your team or not. This company and this boss failed at every single moment.

The fact that this person was given such little support whilst going through so many tragic moments completely justifies him leaving his job and starting his own business.
