Our clear bathroom skylight is 4 years old and the UV rays have been breaking the quality of it down. So I decided to replace it with a better quality one and choose white instead of clear this time.

In this video you will see more than just my removal and installation but challenges I had along the way and some tips that may help you should you take on this job.

Another reason I decided to change the skylight out now is that my next project will be to install Eterna Bond tape on all the seems and around all protrusions on the roof in the near future and didn't want to apply the tape around a skylight that may fail soon. Right now I have Dicor self leveling sealant on all the seems but find that it needs to be touched up every year, buy applying the Eterna Bond tape over these areas I'm hoping I can avoid this yearly task and reduce the risk of water intrusion.
