ℹ About the Episode: RV life and holidays can sometimes be tricky. We enjoy being with our family for holidays, but with our kids scattered across the county and without a home base, we decided to meet up at Fort Wilderness. Carson would have joined us, but he was training in Tampa.
When it comes to RV travel, not everyone is up for the same experience. Some people are in it for the adventure, while others just want to relax and read a book. Some people like RV resorts with pools while others like dispersed camping in the middle of nowhere. And when these opposing views coexist inside the same RV, it can require some compromise. It's probably not too hard to figure out from the thumbnail image who in our group isn't the Disney fan. Truth be told, it has more to do with long lines and lots of people. But Fort Wilderness does help bridge the gap between "park people" and "nonpark people." Even though Fort Wilderness is in the middle of Orlando, it does feel like you're in a state park and has a great camping vibe. In this episode, we share how we use the RV to visit with our older kids and make the most out of holidays. It was a fun episode with lots of dynamics between the entire family.
