Rv furnace not working?

Peak Mountain Camps

We are seeing furnace issues daily during the winter months and the majority of them are due to being dirty. In our part of the country bugs are heavy during the spring and summer months. It’s very common for them to build nest in your furnace, water heater, and fridge. The majority of you will most likely use your fridges and water heater during the summer but chances are your furnace won’t be getting turned on.
You can see where I’m going with this. Without the furnace being serviced and cleaned on that first chilly day you might find the furnace not working. There are some things you can do to help keep the bugs out. Bug screens are a great idea as well as running the furnace periodically. This may be tricky in the summer when the temperature is hot. Another good practice is to blow out the exhaust and I take ports with a air compressor. Be sure to wear glasses and a dust mask. You would be surprised at what will come out. Don’t just stop with your furnace tho. While you have the air compressor hooked up do the fridge and the water heater as well.
These few things can prevent a lot of headache down the road and keep your appliances in working order. Hope this helps and prevent you from having a long cold night without heat.
