Our RV black tank was full and I could not open it. The connection between the valve and the handle had broken loose. Fortunately I was able to cut away the sleeve that holds the gate valve and empty the tank at the dump site with a pair of needle nose pliers. When I got home it was a matter of removing four bolts and replacing the valve. I now carry a small hacksaw with me in the coach and a replacement valve if one of the two black tank valve gates ever breaks again.
