Having last visited the North Yorkshire Moors in 2017, LMS Rebuilt Royal Scot Class 'Royal Scot' stands in as a replacement for BR Britannia Class 70000 'Britannia', taking charge of special nonstop services during the February Half Term between Pickering and Grosmont.

In addition to 46100, another Stanier 460 took to the rails, in the form of LMS Black Five 44806, recently returned from overhaul at the end of 2023 having been withdrawn from traffic at the start of 2018. With 46100 running prebooked services, 44806 carried the NYMR's dining service in the early afternoon.
