The Royal Choral Society has performed Handel's Messiah on Good Friday at the Royal Albert Hall every year since 1876, except during the London Blitz in 1940/41. The RCS filmed their performance on 6 April 2012 by kind permission of the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This clip features the final two movements, Worthy is the Lamb and the Amen Chorus, with the choir performing under the baton of their Music Director Richard Cooke. Students from the City of Lodon School for Girls joined the choir for this performance.

The footage was edited and posted here in 2020 in response to the Covid19 pandemic, which caused the cancellation of the 144th Good Friday Messiah on Friday 10 April 2020.
