This Datsun 1200 GX Coupe ended its life as a pile of rust after many years of hard work. Little did it know what was in store for it once its new owner, Jannie Booyens got hold of it.

Jannie got to work on restoring the Datsun 1200 GX coupe, removing all the rust and returning it to new. He then set about converting the Datsun's engine by swapping in a classic Mazda 13B Rotary motor, complete with a massive turbocharger.

Jannie didn't stop there either, turning this into a oneofakind build with a custom body kit pulled from all sorts of different cars, but assembled with painstaking precision. The result is a modern retro classic take on the Datsun 1200, but with huge power that makes the small coupe squirm under power.
