The Nissan 1400 pickup, or Champ, as it was also known, is not only a legendary vehicle in South Africa, but also in the country it originated from, Japan. In fact, it even occasionally appears in the Hot Wheels toy car lineup. Johannesburg's Brannigan Achadinha wanted to bring some of that Japanese car culture to South Africa when he started working on his own take on this iconic little pickup. And so his little white truck rides on air, so that it can be slammed down real low (so low that the fuel tank had to be moved), has a Datsun 120Y grille, aggressive front lip and flushed bodywork. Inside, it has a pumping audio system (but it's almost invisible to the eye), and you're more likely to notice the stunning carbonfibre dashboard.
