This is an excerpt from Dr. Rosario Butterfield’s address to the Liberty University convocation. I highly encourage you to listen to the whole address; however, this highlights some incredibly critical elements necessary for understanding. She names individuals and ministries compromising the clarity of Scripture teaching to make the gospel more “palatable” and less offensive. The time is here for us to seek clarity on this and several other related issues, and Scripture supports it. There are far too many “Christian” ministries, and sadly, even pastors who project their own interpretation and do not have the spine to speak boldly on what Scripture teaches. Instead, they hide behind ambiguity, false metaphorical language, and Scriptural eisegesis.
