If you have a problem with any type of excess mucus, there is a really simple and inexpensive solution: salt.

Salt is one of the best natural remedies for mucus. There has been a long history of using certain types of salt therapy to support the immune system.

Salt is very antimicrobial. It has antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antiyeast, and antimold properties. Salt is also really good for breaking up thick mucus.

There are many different ways you can use salt as a remedy for mucus. If you live near the ocean, you could simply drive to the coast and breathe in the salty air.

If you’re not near the coast, you can dissolve one teaspoon of sea salt in a glass of warm water and drink it.

Other ways to use sea salt for mucus include:
• Going to a salt house
• Using a neti pot
• Using a nebulizer
• Gargling with saltwater
• Halotherapy

Most respiratory infections are viralrelated, so antibiotics won’t be helpful. You have to give a viral infection time to go away, but during that time, it’s crucial to support your immune system.

The best things to support your immune system:
1. Vitamin D
2. Vitamin C
3. Zinc
