In this tutorial I am revisiting the stencil effect, but in a sea turtle.
I pour a clear layer in the shell and let that cure. I cut out a stencil on my Cricut of a flower that will fit in the shell. I was originally going to put the stencil on and use gilding glue, but changed my mind and decided to try putting the stencil on UV tape and brushing the mica powders on it. after prepping the tape and getting the stencil on it, I brush all the colors on and then I use Lets Resin UV resin on top of the design, cure it and then pull the tape and stencil off, leaving the design on the UV resin. I then put that inside the turtle shell, here is where I should have just poured clear resin on top before I started the glitter layers. But I started the glitter right on top of the design, first layer using the rest of my fantasy film chunks, let that cure and then I brushed the rest of the turtle with the Baltic Day color shift micagolden yellow/Kelley green/blue. then I mixed up my resin and added the casting craft black and filled it and let it cure.
