Service dogs and miniature horses are the only animals permitted under the ADA to go to public places with their handler to mitigate their disability. Please do not bring your pets into nonpet friendly places. Please do not fake a service dog this is illegal as well. Remember you're not just faking a service dog, you're faking having a disability. Penalty can range anywhere from a fine, misdemeanor, or even a felony depending on state laws for bringing pets into nonpet friendly places, for faking a service dog, and for distracting a service dog.

Certifications, registrations, and ID cards are all scams and have no legal standing in the United States. A piece of paper or an ID card do not make a service dog. The handler having a disability that the service dog was trained to directly help with or to mitigate and years of training are what makes a service dog a service dog.

Service dogs are specifically task trained to help their handlers disability. This can take years of training! Please do not distract a service dog or a service dog in training as it is vital for the safety of their handler!
