How to fix an abandoned car that was going to be scrapped.
Using homemade solutions and tricks to do it for little money.

In this case I bring you a remastering of the first video of this channel, a Renault Megane II Coupe Cabrio that
I was about to go to scrapping because of the high cost of the repair.

The failure of this Megane II was that when you tried to start it, simply to CLAC followed by the fans
at maximum power and STOP light along with several fault lights on.

Without further details we had to investigate where the fault could come from, so the first thing was to look at all the internal and external fuses, those in the battery and those in the upc box.

After much tinkering at the end it was actually the ECU that caused the problem, we dismantled it and not being able to see anything sulfated or in poor condition, we decided to take it to a mobile store so that with the microscope they could see if there was a desoldered microchip or similar .

Our question was when there were actually a few pins of the main microchip desolded, in the mobile shop we soldered the sideburns and when we put it back together the whole car worked PERFECTLY !!!

I want to emphasize that I am not responsible in any case for the damages that you can cause your vehicles or third parties without limitation of the above, in case you try to imitate me, since touching an ECU is not an easy thing and you can end up with a paperweight VERY big.

Due to the type of video I do not leave you a list of tools but rather a small guide on how to look for electrical faults like the one we have fixed in the video.

► Whenever you face an electrical problem in a vehicle, start by checking the battery (which has the correct charge and is properly connected).

►Prosigue to check all the fuses and relays of the car, motorcycle, boat, it does not matter, whatever.

►If everything seems to be fine, it is time to start checking possible connectors that may have gotten wet and consequently sulfated.

►In many cases it is easy to isolate the electrical problem if a particular fuse blows, in other cases like this it is much more difficult.

► If still and you do not find the problem, check the masses well, in many cases the masses are sulfated and the cable stops making mass with the chassis (negative of the battery).

► Have you still not found the fault? Start looking at possible cables cut / pinched / crushed / etc. in some cases when putting heavy objects in the car or when having an accident, some cables are cut or remain

crushed.
