Benefits:
1. It was narrated from Abu Mas’ood alAnsaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Soorat alBaqarah at night, they will suffice him.” Narrated by alBukhaari (5009) and Muslim (2714). Ibn alQayyim said in alWaabil alSayyib (132): They will suffice him against any evil that may harm him.
2. It was narrated from alNu’man ibn Basheer (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah inscribed a book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, from which the last two ayahs of Surat alBaqarah were revealed. If they are recited for three nights, no shaytan (devil) will remain in the house”. (alTirmidhi).
