The 2024 Renault Megane ETech is here, but it's not the small hatchback you know and, maybe, love. Instead, the nextgeneration model is a small SUV, although its ride height isn't as high as some of its competitors, so more of it's more of a crossover.
Either way, that's not the big news, as the Megane ETech is also a fully electric vehicle, with no petrol or diesel engine in sight. Needless to say, the storied French nameplate is moving well into the future, where zeroemissions motoring is the norm and SUVs dominate. But that's not to say it's lost its sense of style because just look at it.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week living with the Megane ETech's sole launch variant, the midspec Techno EV60, to find out how well it measures up against the competition, including the Hyundai Kona EV, among others.
