Red pandas are listed in the Red Book as an endangered species. According to various sources, there are only 2,50010,000 individuals left on the planet. This animal has few natural enemies, the main problem is deforestation. Also, poachers, who destroy animals for their luxurious fur, pose a great danger. About 350 animals live in 85 zoos around the world, which reproduce well in an artificial environment. But the population recovers very slowly, the red panda gives birth only once a year, and the litter usually consists of 2 cubs.
