"Let's make an oasis of death"

Desolators are a unique unit available only to the Soviet Faction, Iraq. For just 600 resources, Desolators are definitely worth their money. In most cases, Iraq is the only Soviet faction players choose.

Desolators are lethal against enemy infantry units and with their deploy ability they can be lethal against group of Tanks too. Desolator's deploy ability is one of the best in the game despite the fact that it can damage allies too. Radiating the ground in a large area can deal with any (with a few exceptions) infantry threat. They can quickly eliminate light vehicles and can greatly damage heavier vehicles.

Desolators are totally useless against buildings though as they can not deal any damage to them. Their deploy ability doesn't deal any damage to buildings too.

Having a good amount of health, selfhealing at base level and being uncrushable, non antiinfantry tanks will have a very hard time against them.

The test in this video were very interesting and can answer lots of questions. Few things that we learnt for Desolators are:

• Desolators are immune to any source of radiation including enemy Desolators. A Desolator can not harm an enemy Desolator.
• Desolators can selfheal without having a promotion.
• Desolators deal the same damage when deployed despite their promotional status.
• Two Desolators deal the maximum amount of damage when deployed. Any extra deployed Desolator will no deal any extra damage.
• Many units such as Robot Tanks, Miners, Chaos Drones are immune to radiation.
• Their deployed ability not only damages submarines but also reveals them.
