Materials used: (Note: these are estimations as the original coat was made c. 4 years ago)
Black wool (approx. 5 yards)
Velvet for facing, collar, cuffs (approx. 1.5 yards)
Horsehair tailor’s canvas for interlining (approx. 1.5 yards)
x4 velvet covered buttons
Heavy coat thread
Lightweight cotton thread for pad stitching
Silk buttonhole twist for buttonholes and top stitching
