US President Joe Biden was midsentence during a speech in Hanoi, Vietnam when his press secretary Karine JeanPierre suddenly interrupted him and ended the press conference early.

Biden’s mic was cut and soothing jazz music began to play from overhead speakers, as the US President was left standing awkwardly on the stage.

The bizarre spectacle took place just moments after Biden told journalists in the audience that he was going to go to bed.
