On Saturday 16th March 2024, after receiving a call about two roaming puppies, Shelter Manager Barrie Martin and Animal Caretaker Omar Colley, along with Volunteer Director Cassandra McAfee, went out to find them.

The puppy rescue took over two hours. ⏳Some of the puppies were easier to catch however the last puppy had wedged herself underneath a pallet of steel beams, and each beam had to be removed so that we could rescue her.

The puppies were severely anemic and were covered in ringworm and fleas. Each of the puppies received a bath when they were brought back to the shelter to remove all the dirt and fleas. They were given a dewormer and Nexgard and food and water. They all were vet checked on Monday to see if there were any other medical issues apart from the ringworm that needed to be attended to.
