The vile human who claimed to be their owner was abusing their mama and had “docked” the ears and tail of each puppy WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. We just rescued Sebastian and his three siblings from unthinkable horror, and now this poor boy is on the brink with severe pneumonia as a result of being mistreated.
Sebastian is currently in the throes of agony from being abused and neglected. He is in excruciating pain from an amateur tail and ear cropping, alongside severe pneumonia as a result of never being taken to the vet for his infection and difficulty breathing. Hospitalized, he spews fluid as he gasps for air, his life hanging by a thread.
His siblings are faring better, so our current focus is stabilizing Sebastian. Tests are, thankfully, showing that he is parvo negative, so at least there is one less hurdle to clear, but that nonetheless leaves us with a severe pup on the brink of death. Sebastian can barely breathe, and although we are helping him with fluids, oxygen, and various meds, he will most definitely need to stay in urgent care for a few days at least.
ER hospitalization is necessary for this poor boy, but it is expensive. Our meager medical funds can barely afford it, but Sebastian has no alternative. We CANNOT let his life end like this, so we are committed to doing everything possible to save him. Are you?
