This video details the components of a pop up camper water heater along with how to start up your pop up camper’s water heater as demonstrated on our Atwood G6A7. The Atwood G6A7 is a sixgallon, propane water heater that is required to be manually lit. The process for lighting a pop up camper water heater is the following:

1. Ensure there is water in the water heater tank
2. Slowly open your propane tank (if not done already)
3. Turn the control knob to “pilot”
4. Light the pilot with a wand lighter
5. Hold the control knob to “pilot” for approximately 30 seconds
6. Turn the control knob to “on”
7. Set the temperature control arm to “hotter” or “colder” depending on preference
8. Enjoy your hot water
