Right before Sony releases their FY2023 results, the company finally appointed a new CEO since Jim Ryan's retirement. And it turns out, we've got TWO CEO's! Hermen Hulst, previously the SVP, Head of PlayStation Studios. He's now going to be the CEO of the Studio Business Group. And then Hideaki Nishino, previously the SVP of Platform Experiences. He'll now be CEO of the Platform business group. Now that we have new PlayStation leadership, it's time to discuss what this will mean for PS5, and the business going forward. Is this exciting news? Hard to say, I was right in the middle of frying an egg. And then this just springs up out of nowhere.
