A large part of our caseload at the centre is made up of pets suffering from Osteoarthritis. Arthritis is a painful condition and unfortunately can have a huge impact on a dogs quality of life.

This video gives an insight into Joby’s initial physiotherapy consult along with my functional assessment of his movement patterns. I also point out some early signs of arthritis which you can look for in your dog and I explain the effect they have on Jobys muscle system and mobility. If you see these signs, please raise them with your vet as its better to be more proactive than reactive with this condition.

Finally we look at some exercises to preserve muscle strength, reduce pain and maintain mobility.
