Photographing Kingfishers | Beginners Gear Guide | Wildlife Photography

Follow
Patrik in Nature

I will show you how to get amazing photos of kingfishers with basic gear. If you are just starting out or don't want to carry all the heavy gear with you, watch this video and learn how to best go about photographing these colorful birds.
I am using Nikon's entrylevel camera, the Z 30, together with the Sigma 150600mm, an affordable lens (at least compared to other lenses) that is very popular amongst wildlife photographers.
I will take you along and explain how to find the appropriate location, how to set up the camera, which settings to use, how to hide yourself, and how to go about photographing them. I will also show you the photos that I take.

Animals seen: Common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis), The mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) and The nutria (Myocastor coypus).
