PEM® selfclinching fasteners are inserted into a hole in the workpiece. There, the selfclinching fastener displaces the material at the location of the drillhole. This displaced material flows into a recess in the shank area of the fastener by coldforming. A serration or a speciallyshaped head now prevents the workpiece from rotating – thus, the selfclinching fastener becomes one with the workpiece.

PEM® selfclinching nuts have a high twist and pullout resistance. They are available in various different shank lengths and are suitable for metallic materials, in some cases even for use in stainless steel panels. The range of parts also includes nuts flush on both sides, closed parts, nuts with threadlocking as well as miniature designs. They are available in various materials, surface designs, lengths and variations.
