Opening up my 0282 L31 350 (5.7) 5700 19962000 Vortec GM truck, van or SUV replacement crate engine. The plan was to take some of the stock parts for another build and replace them with aftermarket better parts but then things didn't go as intended!

FYI I have an engine on another stand a few feet away with no intake and covered with a clear engine bag. That engine has been sitting for over a decade and has no rust in the valley like this crate does now.
