Our fully enclosed $140 chicken coop built from upcycled materials! Not pretty but highly functional

We needed an enclosed aviary as we were dealing with significant loss from hawks, crows and even the eagles that live around the farm so turned one of our pens into one, using only recycled materials and $140 worth of purchased upcycled goods.
We now use this to grow out hundreds of chicks in the spring and summer!
Our outdoor coops are built similarly but the panels have been moved inside the barn for the winter.
It’s totally ok to not have the fanciest setup as long as it works!
I could have painted and made it look pretty but I HATE painting as I tend to wear as much as I get on the surface ‍♀

Keep an eye out on online marketplaces and check your local Restore for used or new items that you can upcycle and save y our self money
