"Organizing Paper Archives Made Easy" is the second video in my March series on paper management. It focuses on organizing archives or what I call "Sleeping Files." These are files that we keep "just in case" and can be stored more remotely. In my book "The Circulation Solution" the central premise is that in order to stay organized you need a plan for movement in series of manageable reliable stages. Circulation prevents accumulation. That includes paper. Paper needs to circulate in FOUR essential stages: Running, Sitting, Sleeping, and Dead. Last time we focused on how to extract Dead Files. In this video we focus not only on how to extract a backlog of sleeping files, but a plan for annual circulation, to prevent the accumulation of files in your home office.
