Vermont is facing its worst flooding crisis since the infamous Hurricane Irene of 2011. Unyielding rains have inundated rivers, streams, and homes alike, causing the National Weather Service to issue an emergency flood warning, effective until 11 July. The situation is critical, with road closures and washouts becoming an alltoofamiliar sight, and structures submerged beneath 3 to 7 inches of relentless rainfall.
