In this video we pay a visit to one of the most vintage neighborhoods in Chicago, Old Town It is located next to Lake Michigan, south of Lincoln Park, between Armitage & Division, West of Clark, and East of Halsted & Clybourn.

Old Town is known for great dining, exciting nightlife, fantastic shopping, historic architecture, and a variety of things to do.

Old Town has a rich history, starting with the American Indian tribes who called this area home for many years (Potawatomi, Miami, Illinois). In the 1850s, many of Chicago's German immigrants moved here, in later years other ethnic groups would also call Old Town home, like Japanese Americans and Puerto Ricans.

The streets in Old Town predate the Chicago Fire and thus do not conform to the famous Grid Pattern.

To get to Old Town from the Loop, take the CTA Brown Line and get off at the Sedgwick stop. Other options include the CTA Red Line to North / Clybourn or Clark / Division. You can also take the 22, 36, 156, or 72 CTA bus.

Old Town is known for its varied and highly rated restaurants. From old school classics like Topo Gigio, Orso's, Kamehachi, and Twin Anchors to new favorites like Jeni's Ice Cream, Small Cheval, and Broken English Taco Pub.

There are many things to do in Old Town like attend mass at St. Michael Church, meditate at the Midwest Buddhist Temple, see improv comedy at The Second City theatre, watch standup comedians at Zanies, play some chess at Hudson Chess Park, or purchase some paintings at the Old Town Art Fair.

For coffee, stop by Intelligentsia (inside Plum Market), Bombo Bar, or La Fournette.
