Animal Fact Files

There are approximately 300 living octopus species and they are found throughout all the world's oceans. These cephalopods are exceptionally smart and may just be the smartest living invertebrates. Octopuses may be found from tidal areas to the deep ocean and they may spend their time on the bottom or drifting through the open sea. Some octopuses have fins, others aren't able to produce ink, some mimic other animals, and others are so tiny they could fit on the end of a human finger! There's so much to learn about these amazing animals.
