Natasha Georgakis here. I’ll be hosting a nutrition series in The Catskills :) It's a fourpart series at Play Yoga Studio. Peace love and yoga, in Roxbury, NY.

Ayurvedic Nutrition
You’ll learn about the three doshas, pitta, kapha and Vatta and how to make Kitchari & Triphala: traditional Ayurvedic recipes believed to rebalance the doshas or rebalance your energy, reset digestion, and nourish the mindbody connection through food.

Kitchari is a cleansing stew. It’s full of antiinflammatory properties. It’s believed to help boost your metabolism (or your digestive fire)

Triphala is an Ayurvedic Herbal Remedy that has been used medicinally for over 1,000 years. It’s made with dried fruit and Indian plants. The tea has many healing benefits: antiinflammatory properties and supports disease prevention.

You’ll be sent home with a goodiebag of to recreate these recipes for friends and family.

We have three other classes with dates to be determined so make sure you like and follow for updates, but here’s a taste

Class two, we have The Energetics of Food in Traditional Chinese Medicine and how these methodologies can repair your relationship with food and fad diets. Learn how to Rewire your brain when it comes to nutrition and focus on the healing benefits instead of the calories your food contains.

Class 3 Nourishing the microbiome, the brain in your gut. Learn how to make cultured and fermented foods that support gut health, but may also help ease anxiety and regulate the central nervous system that triggers mood changes from poor digestion and GI issues.

Class 4: Brain food: how to support neurological health and prevent cognitive decline through nutrition. We’ll create a meal full of ingredients that've been proven to support brain health and neurological function.
