19yearold Robert moves from Poland to Norway to work in a salmon factory to earn money for himself and his mother. There he falls in love with Norwegian Ivar, a relationship he must keep hidden from the conservative Polish workers he works and lives with. When a strike breaks out among the workers at the factory, Ivar joins in and supports the Poles. Now Robert must choose between money or love.
