#A5620565 Heilang (pronounced HuhLang) is a strong, stunning young German Shepherd with a classic black and brown coat that shines red in the sunlight. If you’re looking for a pup to keep up with your high paced or athletic lifestyle, this very active and alert young boy could be the one for you! Heilang does best with calm dogs, but could use some more socialization in order to be more of a social butterfly. He is new to the shelter environment and his true personality is still emerging, but his handler noted that he showed lots of affection while still scanning his environment leans into his person and sits on their feet.

likes calm dogs, but could use more socialization
medium energy level high energy on leash but calm in the yard
pulls on leash but takes adjustments well
may know sit and other commands
not clear if housebroken
does not seem treat motivated, but could be after settling in

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an allvolunteer, nonprofit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
