Sky News host Danica De Giorgio has criticised Anthony Albanese for being “completely MIA” on Alice Springs and has accused him of being “more of a socialite than a Prime Minister”.

Northern Territory Chief Minister Eva Lawler has declared an ‘emergency situation’ in the Alice Springs CBD to combat crime.

A twoweek youth curfew will be put in place as part of the response.

“What an embarrassing week it’s been for Albo and co,” Ms De Giorgio said.

“There are no serious leaders in that party – no leaders who can make serious decisions and take decisive action, especially when it comes to important matters on home social.

“This is where Albo fails – and is nowhere to be seen; he’s completely MIA.

“He doesn’t care about what is happening in Alice Springs.

“He’s more of a socialite than a Prime Minister.”
