A 26yearold math teacher from Missouri, Hailey Nichelle CliftonCarmack, was arrested in Texas on charges related to an alleged inappropriate relationship with a 16yearold student. Investigations began following a report from a school resource officer, and evidence included text messages and photographs. Additionally, the student's father is facing charges for possibly allowing the relationship. The Laquey School District, where CliftonCarmack was employed, has stated that she hasn't been in the district since early December 2023 and emphasized their commitment to student safety.
